Carriage Row is a 7 building complex located in Kent WA.
We reclad the front and backs with all types of Hardie siding; including lap, panel, shingle and shake. The different types of siding used were similar to what was existing, maintaining the row style housing's unique look.
The buildings did not have any wall sheathing beneath the existing siding, so plywood sheathing was added for better structural stability during the new siding installion.
We also replaced all the existing windows with new VPI vinyl windows.
The project was overbudget from the outset, we worked with the HOA and Owner’s Representative to Value Engineer the project to make it economically feasible. We were successful in reducing the budget for the client, and were fortunate to even give back the majority of the project contingency at the end.
